The Breakfast Club
The Breakfast Club is another John Hughes favorite and is easily one of the most iconic movies of the 1980s. This movie stars Brat Pack members Emilio Estevez, Anthony Michael Hall, Ally Sheedy, Molly Ringwald, and Judd Nelson. The Breakfast Club follows 5 very different teenagers who have been made to spend their entire Saturday together in detention within the confines of the school’s library. As the movie begins, these five students think they have nothing in common with the other, each one coming from a distinct social group and each with their own secrets. As the movie progresses the group realizes that while they are different on the outside, they really are not so different on the inside and that they really do not have to be defined by the labels that society has given them. A truly great movie!
